Juvia’s Place Masquerade Palette Review

Happy Saturday, dolls!  I hope you’re enjoying your weekend so far.  Today, I’m excited to be reviewing the Juvia’s Place Masquerade Eyeshadow Palette!  I’ve heard rave reviews about this brand, particularly in regards to their super pigmented products at affordable prices.  Girl, you got me sold 😉 Out of all the eyeshadow palettes offered, the shade selection of the Masquerade Palette called out to me the loudest.  So when it was finally back in stock online, I decided to give it a go.  Please read on to see how it performed.Juvia's Place Masquerade Palette ReviewWhat it is: This product was inspired by African Festivities fulled with enormous joy and spiritual activities.  The Bold Colors represent costumes used in festivals.  The nude and browns represent the African soil and environments.  The perfect balance of bolds and neutrals (juviasplace.com).

Price: $25, 0.84 oz (juviasplace.com)Juvia's Place Masquerade Palette ReviewPackaging: I opted for the Mini Palette because, well, I don’t think I’ve ever finished an entire eyeshadow palette ? I was surprised to find that the Mini is about the same size as an average eyeshadow palette, so I can only imagine that the Large version would be huge.  I love the bright colorful design.  There is no mirror, but the cardboard packaging is sturdy and stays closed in your luggage, as I found when I packed this with me to Texas.Juvia's Place Masquerade Palette ReviewFormulaAs you can see from the swatches below, these eye shadows are gorgeously pigmented.  The formula is buttery smooth, so there is a fair amount of kick up and fallout when dipping your brush into the shadows, but nothing unmanageable.  I found the metallic shades were creamier in texture than the mattes.  The neutral shimmers are definitely not lacking in pigmentation, but the bright shimmers are particularly dynamite ?Juvia's Place Masquerade Palette ReviewColor:  Like usual, I immediately gravitate towards the delicious warm shades in the bottom two rows ? Giza is the perfect brow highlight, while Ada is a stunning terracotta transition/ crease shade.  I love using the rainbow shades in the top two rows to add a bright pop of color on the bottom lashline.IMG_20170802_021410_042Swatches of the Top 2 Rows:Juvia's Place Masquerade Palette Swatches and ReviewJuvia's Place Masquerade Palette Swatches and ReviewJuvia's Place Masquerade Palette Swatches and ReviewJuvia's Place Masquerade Palette Swatches and ReviewSwatches of the Bottom 2 Rows:Juvia's Place Masquerade Palette Swatches and ReviewJuvia's Place Masquerade Palette Swatches and ReviewJuvia's Place Masquerade Palette Swatches and Review20170815_161316Overall Rating:  I was very impressed with my Juvia’s Place Masquerade Palette so I award it a rating of 10/10 stars!  $25 is an incredible value for a gorgeous assortment of high quality metallic and matte eyeshadows, considering you are getting 16 pans total.  I love the beautiful shade selection, in addition to the creamy and pigmented formula.  If you had asked me a month ago, this would be my new favorite affordable eyeshadow palette.  However, after trying the Colourpop Yes, Please! Palette (blogpost here), which retails for $16, the Masquerade Palette slipped to a close second place.  Still, that doesn’t take away from this amazing product.  I am totally satisfied with this palette and highly recommend! ?
