Thank You Farmer Korean Skincare Review : Cleansing Water, Gel Cleanser, Toner

Occasionally, Boxycharm hosts their Boxy PopUp Shop, which offers many makeup, skincare, haircare, and lifestyle products at steep discounts.  Naturally, this has my name written all over it.  During one of their recent sales, I was able to order some skincare products from Thank You Farmer, a Korean skincare brand that was completely new to me.  I decided to venture into the brand starting with their Cleansing Water, Gel Cleanser, and Milky Toner.  I’ve been incorporating all three products into my daily skincare routine for over a month, so I have a pretty good idea of how each performed with my dry skin.  Please read on to see my rating of each product based on my personal experience :)

Thank You Farmer Back to Iceland Cleansing Water – Retail Price $29 – Buy HereDeveloped to gently and effectively remove dirt, oil, and stubborn makeup, this ultra-mild facial cleanser is formulated with rare botanical ingredients including Iceland Moss Extract for its soothing and nourishing properties, delivering a gentle, cooling effect to leave skin feeling incredibly clean, soft, and refreshed (amazon.com).  I assume that this Cleansing Water is meant to be used just like a Micellar Water.  I soak a generous amount on a cotton pad and gently swipe all over my face to remove my makeup before going in with a cleanser.  Unlike my holy grail Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water (buy here), this does not have an oily top layer that has to be mixed in the bottle prior to application.  This has the exact same look, consistency, and feel of water on the skin.  It does a wonderful job of removing my face makeup, though it struggles a bit with my waterproof mascara.  Still, I enjoyed the light, herbal scent and appreciate that it doesn’t leave my face feeling void of moisture.  Overall Rating: 8/10 Stars.

Thank You Farmer Back to Pure Daily Foaming Gel Cleanser – Retail Price $28 – Buy HereThis mild facial wash penetrates deep down to fully cleanse and rinse away dirt, makeup, and impurities without drying out skin. Formulated with antioxidant-rich Pomegranate and Fig Extracts to fully protect against environmental aggressors while the pH-balanced formula restores skin’s moisture balance (amazon.com).  First off, I love the simplicity and practicality of this easy pump packaging.  It makes me resent all my other cleansers that come in a tube LOL This gel cleanser lathers up nicely and rinses clean, without leaving my skin feeling overly dry or tight.  I prefer to use this as my morning face wash, as I’ve found it doesn’t remove my stubborn eye makeup as well as my beloved Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser (buy here).  I will be happy to finish up this bottle, but likely won’t be repurchasing this in the future, unless it was on major sale again.  Overall Rating: 8/10 Stars.

Thank You Farmer Miracle Age Repair Toner – Retail Price $40 – Buy HerePerfect for aging skin, this multi-faceted formula works brilliantly to combine the benefits of a toner, serum, and essence to work effectively as one by brightening, toning, and gradually diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while the milky, rich formula aids in comforting and soothing depleted skin (amazon.com).  This milky toner feels so luxurious that it seems awfully wasteful to apply with a cotton pad.  Instead, after cleansing, I tone my skin with my Son and Park Beauty Water (buy here), then apply this as I would an essence.  This leaves my skin feeling so moisturized and baby soft, without any tacky residue.  If you have extra dry skin like myself, you will love this.  The fresh, clean scent and chic glass packaging feels extra indulgent.  Overall Rating: 10/10 Stars.Have you tried any products from Thank You Farmer?  How did they work for you?
