Maybelline Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation Review

Ciao bella! Today, I’ll be reviewing the Maybelline Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation! The Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation is one of my top favorite foundations ever (blogpost here), so when I heard rave reviews about this new, revamped Super Stay Full Coverage formula, I had to give it a try as well.

What it is: Be your own professional makeup artist with Maybelline’s Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation. Saturated color pigments provide an ultra-transforming effect in this long-lasting foundation. Packaging: The glass packaging is fairly standard. While it may not be as travel friendly as a plastic bottle, I still think it looks chic with the white cap and I love that it includes a convenient hygienic pump. Maybelline Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation Review in Toffee Caramel

Formula: This foundation is runny in consistency, feels super lightweight on the skin, and yields medium coverage with one thin layer. With two layers, it quickly builds up to full coverage with a satin, almost dewy finish. I have very dry skin, but this doesn’t cling to my dry patches or accentuate them. Just a heads up, I read some online reviews that those with oilier skin types saw oil peeking through their T-zones throughout the day. For myself, other than around my undereye area where I applied concealer, I did not have to set the rest of my face with any powder and my foundation still lasted all day. It only wore off around my nose area, which is normal with my constant nose blowing, but the rest of my face was still flawless at the end of the night. Shade Range: There are currently 16 shades available on the Maybelline and Ulta website. Because I wear the shade Golden Caramel in their Fit Me Matte and Poreless line, I ordered Toffee/Caramel in the Super Stay hoping it would be the same 😅 Unfortunately, it is about two shades too dark for me and has pink undertones. I can see myself rocking this when I am very tan but to balance out the shade for now, I add a lighter concealer and powder to make it work. Looking at the shade selection now, I would check out Golden and/or Sun Beige to better match my golden/olive undertones. Morphe Highlight and Contour Beauty Sponge

Application: I like applying this foundation best with a damp beauty sponge. My current favorite is the Morphe Highlight and Contour Beauty Sponge, but a BeautyBlender or any drugstore sponge will do just fine. The damp sponge gives me some extra moisture and really presses the product into my skin, which I feel contributes to it lasting all day. Swatches: The top photos are one layer applications of the Maybelline Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation in natural lighting and with camera flash. It provides full coverage and has a flawless, satin finish. The foundation sets quickly and leaves behind no tackiness feeling. Below is a photo of one layer of the Super Stay Full Coverage on my skin, without any filter.

Overall Rating: I am really digging this Maybelline Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation so I award it 9/10 stars. The foundation gives buildable medium to full coverage, blurs imperfections, and provides an airbrushed natural finish that lasts all day. Ordering your foundation shade online can get tricky so I recommend visiting the stores, if possible, to pick your best match. I throughly enjoyed this foundation and will be back to pick up more shades.

All I’ve been hearing are rave reviews on it ❤ I love how it’s in a glass bottle, makes it feel a bit fancy. 9/10 is an amazing score, I told my sister to get it while she was in the US, but she said she couldn’t find it :/ Hopefully I can it somewhere online

I agree girly, I love glass bottles too 😉 I’m sorry your sister wasn’t able to find it in stores. I rarely go into Ulta stores anymore (other than for online returns) because they are consistently never in stock of the shades, or most of the time even the product, I’m looking for 😒 I hope you were able to find other goodies from the US trip though! 🤗😙
