March Monthly Empties and Reviews

Happy Hump Day, everyone 🐪 Today we will be going over March’s Product Empties!  Each of these products will be accompanied by a mini review, and recommendation on whether or not I would repurchase.March Monthly Empties and Reviews

MAKEUP

March Monthly Empties and ReviewsNYX HD Photogenic Concealer:  This is one of my favorite concealers from the drugstore.  It is creamy, blends beautifully, provides medium buildable to full coverage, and gives a flawless finish.  As a bonus, it comes in a range of 22 shades so you can be sure to find your perfect shade.  I already have backups of the shades Glow and Tan.

E.L.F. Makeup Mist & Set:  I have gone through numerous bottles of these as this is my favorite drugstore makeup setting spray, ever!  This mist extends the longevity of my makeup while smoothing out my skin when I’ve over-powdered.  This is a repeat empties and I am sure this won’t be the last time you see it.

ELF High Definition Powder in Corrective Yellow:  The ELF HD Powder in Translucent is not bad, but this banana powder was a total dud.  The powder is finely milled, but this bulky packaging gets messy quickly and the powder is way too yellow, like Big Bird yellow.  And I am pretty darn yellow myself 😂 I’m passing this along.

HAIRCARE

March Monthly Empties and ReviewsOGX Damage Remedy Coconut Miracle Oil:  I wash my hair everyday (a cardinal sin, I know) so I love hair oils for adding moisture back to my strands.  I apply a generous amount of this to the ends of my damp hair and I can feel it instantly softening my hair and making it more manageable.  If you’re looking for an affordable hair oil, I would highly recommend and I would definitely repurchase.

SKINCARE

March Monthly Empties and ReviewsAvene Micellar Lotion:  I believe this was a sample from an old Ipsy bag that I finally got around to finishing.  It did a decent job of removing face makeup, but not so much for stubborn eye makeup and waterproof mascara.  With better options on the market, I won’t be pursuing a full size.

South Mane Under Eye Gels:  I received this in March’s Boxycharm (blogpost here) and was so impressed with how nice they felt on the skin 😍 The gel feels ultra soothing underneath the eyes, while adding some cooling moisture.  The patches also cling onto the skin easily so you can still move around the house during your treatment.  I am already looking forward to the next time I get to rock these again.

Soo Ae Donkey Milk Sleeping Mask: I gave these skincare samples, from a previous Walmart Beauty Box (blogpost here), a go to see if it could help alleviate my dry skin.  The mask has a thick consistency, absorbs quickly, and smells like vanilla coffee creamer (yummy).  While it provided hydration overnight, I didn’t see much skin improvement in the morning after I washed it off so I will not be purchasing a full sized.

Shara Shara Vita Aura Level Up Mist:  This facial mist came in a Memebox back in the day when they offered curated skincare boxes (bring that back!).  You shake up the product before application to mix the liquid and oil in the bottle well.  I sprayed this on after my applying my day cream, but before makeup application as an added boost of moisture.  I quite enjoyed this facial mist and would recommend for those with dry skin types.

Garnier Skinactive Micellar Cleansing Water:  This is my holy grail micellar water that I will continue to repurchase again and again.  I like to use this on a cotton round to remove all my makeup, from foundation to stubborn waterproof mascara.  This magical elixir is amazing and I can’t recommend it enough.

BODYCARE

March Monthly Empties and ReviewsCetaphil Moisturizing Cream:  Ah yes, an oldie, but a goodie.  This cult favorite lotion has a thicker consistency, provides instant hydration but doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy.  Its scent-free so it’s perfect for those sensitive to fragrances or if you don’t want your lotion to compete with your perfume.  I would recommend and repurchase this Cetaphil cream.

Hydra Ativ 3 in 1 Hero Hydration Cream:  This lotion was another sample from a previous Ipsy bag.  Its small size made it perfect for throwing it in my purse for a hand cream.  It serves its purpose, but there was nothing standout about the formula or the scent so I won’t be investing in a full size.

Mor Candied Vanilla Hand and Body Lotion:  What I really enjoyed about this lotion was its thick formula, which takes a little more elbow grease to rub into the skin, but I can feel the deep hydration. I really enjoyed the yummy candied vanilla scent and would repurchase.

Whish CC Body Cream:  Can you tell I was trying to go through my samples stash? 😂 This body cream has golden glitters in it so I would recommend it for those nights out when you’re looking for an all over body glow.  It did a decent job of providing hydration, but I am personally not a fan of the artificial coconut scent so I would not repurchase.
