May Monthly Favorites and Reviews

Hello, everyone! Today, I’m sharing with you my May Favorites! These are all the products, from beauty to skincare and fashion, that I couldn’t put down in the month of May. You can find my April Monthly Favorites here. I hope you enjoy!

MAKEUP

Wet n Wild PhotoFocus Water Drop Primer: I assumed this primer would be watery gel because of its name, but it’s actually more of a lightweight cream to powder. The sweet coconut scent is totally delish, while the hydrating formula makes for a smooth canvas before foundation application. My dry skin loves this!Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation: I dedicated an entire blogpost review to this foundation, which you can find here. In short, I have found myself reaching for this almost everyday for its full coverage and longlasting formula. I just feel confident on days I wear this foundation, knowing my makeup will look and stay flawless all day. It has become one of my new favorite foundations, from drugstore to high end. Fiona Stiles Full Cover Perfect Finish Concealer: This concealer has been discontinued, but I feel it would be a disservice not to mention it when I’ve been reaching for it all month. The full coverage formula is creamy, blendable, and doesn’t cake on me throughout the day after I’ve set it with powder. I have not tried using this over blemishes, but it works wonderfully for covering the dark birthmark under my right eye. Makeup Revolution Forever Flawless Optimum Palette: I’m so impressed with the pigmentation and blendability of the new Makeup Revolution Forever Flawless Eyeshadow Palettes. The formula, color stories, and packaging are all gorgeous and such a steal for $15! I also have the Constellation Palette, which is full of bright pinks, blues, and purples, but I keep reaching for the beautiful neutrals in this Optimum Palette.Alamar Cosmetics Colorete Blush Trio in Medium Tan: This blush palette is easily my favorite product from May’s Boxycharm (blogpost here). It’s just so pretty! The packaging just screams “summer!”, while the formula is creamy, pigmented, and blends like a dream. The Medium Tan Palette has the perfect shade range, from peach to coral and pink. LOVE this! 👌IBY Beauty Radiant Glow Highlighter in 24k Magic: This was a surprise winner from May’s Ipsy (blogpost here). I’m pleasantly impressed by this highlighter’s creamy, buttery, and pigmented formula. 24K Magic is a flattering peachy gold that gives the skin a dewy sheen with a lighter hand, or you can pack it on for a high impact shine.Lilly Lashes Gaia Faux Mink Lashes: I’ll be honest, these lightweight, yet dramatic lashes look intense against my smaller almond eyes in person. I prefer a more natural lash or just mascara for everyday. However, I love the wispy fluttery style and they photograph beautifully so I reserve them for my makeup pictures.Becca Ultimate Lipstick Love in Sugar: Everything about this packaging from the gold bullet to magnetic closure is so luxurious 😍 The Becca Lipstick formula is creamy, pigmented, and long-lasting. Sugar is a beautiful pinky nude shade that compliments any smokey eye.

SKINCARE

GlamGlow SuperSerum 5 Acid Treatment: I received this serum in the BoxyLimited Skincare Boxycharm and you guys, I am obsessed. All I hear about GlamGlow are their Mask Treatments, but this SuperSerum is incredible. After incorporating this into my day and nighttime skincare routine for only 3 days, my skin looked noticeably more taut and plump. I had to do a double take because it looked like I got Botox, or at least that’s what I assume I would look like with Botox 🤣 I don’t ever want to be without this product again! Cosmedix Jade Roller: This Jade Roller totally sold me on ordering the BoxyLimited Skincare Boxycharm. I’ve been wanting to try jade/ rose quartz face rollers forever so once they revealed this would be included in the box, it sealed the deal. I like to roll this all over my face, after my moisturizer, as the last step of my skincare routine. To be honest, I’m not sure I’m using it correctly or if there are long term benefits, but it’s pretty and feels incredible on the skin. 😎

FASHION

Color Club Nail Lacquer in Yellin’ Yellow: I’m obsessed with brights and neon nail polishes for summer, so this bold highlighter yellow is totally my jam!Have you tried any of these products? What are your favorite products from the month of May?
