May Monthly Empties and Reviews

Hello, everyone! Today we will be going over May’s Product Empties!  Each of these products will be accompanied by a mini review, and recommendation on whether or not I would repurchase. May Monthly Empties and Reviews

MAKEUP

May Monthly Empties and ReviewsMaybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser Concealer: This drugstore concealer has a nice lightweight formula that provides medium buildable to full coverage.  However, the shade selection is quite frankly, terrible.  This Honey shade was too light and pink toned to be an undereye concealer for myself personally, so I used it solely as my eyeshadow primer.  I would only repurchase this in the future if Maybelline expanded their shade range.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray:  This setting spray does a good job of removing the powdery look of your makeup and extends wear time.  However, I personally don’t like the mattifying feeling of it on my skin.  I think I just prefer a more dewy setting spray.  I did enjoy the extra fine mist so I will be repurposing this travel friendly bottle with my Mario Badescu Rose Water to pack in my beach bag.

SKINCARE

May Monthly Empties and ReviewsMario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner: I like buying the jumbo size directly from their website during their annual sale and it lasts me forever.  I apply a generous amount on a cotton round all over my face and neck to remove any leftover makeup after cleansing.  The toner is gentle and leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean, but not overly dry.  I highly recommend this toner and would repurchase in a heartbeat.

Caudalie SOS Thirst Quenching Serum:  Can you tell I’m trying to go through all my skincare samples stash?  This Caudalie Serum was from one of my old Sephora Play! Boxes.  This serum has a refreshing, spa-like scent and felt very lightweight on the skin.  However, I haven’t noticed a difference in my skin since adding it to my skincare routine so I won’t be investing in a full sized.

Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Borabit Ampoule:  This serum has a slightly sticky consistency, similar to the CosRX Snail Essence, if you’re familiar with that milky texture.  It feels lightweight, absorbs quickly, and lightly tingles for about a second after application.  I’m sad to report I haven’t seen much of a difference in whitening to garner a second purchase.

Sephora Instant Moisture Cream Hyaluronic Acid Booster: This cream is thick in consistency, but doesn’t feel heavy on the skin.  It absorbs quickly and provides much appreciated hydration making it a great all around everyday moisturizer.  I would recommend and purchase a full sized.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion:  I know this is a popular face lotion, but I’m personally not a fan.  I prefer a thicker moisturizer and this is too runny for me.  I feel it leaves my skin feeling greasy, but not completely hydrated.  I will not be repurchasing.

Aphrodite Olive Oil Eye Cream:  I gave this a go after discovering it from an old Ipsy Bag.  It felt lightweight and moisturized the eye area, but there was nothing standout about this eye cream.  I would not recommend or repurchase.

Ariul Bamboo Water 7 Days Sheet Mask :  I’ve been trying to regularly incorporate sheet masks into my skincare routine.  This sheet mask feels so refreshing and soothing on the skin after a day in the sun.  It has a cooling sensation and my skin felt extra moisturized after the treatment.  I’m excited that I have a stash of these to go through.

BODYCARE

May Monthly Empties and ReviewsNivea Essentially Enriched Body Lotion: This is my favorite everyday lotion because it has a light scent that doesn’t compete with your perfume.  It absorbs quickly, hydrates, and leaves a glowy sheen on the skin from the almond oil.  This is my second bottle this year and I will happily repurchase many more.

Delectable Body Lotion in Coconut and Cream: This sweet coconut scent smells delicious!  It reminds me of those Banana Boat/Hawaiian Tropic Suntan Lotions and thereby, tropical vacations 😉 The formula is creamy, but not as thick as a body butter, and absorbs quickly into the skin.  I already have another bottle of this ready to go.
