Colourpop You Had Me At Hello Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches

Hi dolls!  Today, I am bringing you my review of the Colourpop You Had Me At Hello Eyeshadow Palette!  As you probably know by now, I am obsessed with Colourpop’s Pressed Eyeshadow Palettes.  I have already reviewed the Colourpop Yes, Please! Palette (blogpost here), I Think I Love You Palette (blogpost here), Fem Rosa She Palette (blogpost here), and Golden State of Mind Palette (blogpost here).  So when Colourpop had a sale on this palette, I was excited to add another to the collection.Colourpop You Had Me At Hello Eyeshadow Palette Review and SwatchesWhat it is: Highly pigmented shadow that applies evenly and feels ultra-velvety and silky. This long wearing formula contains a unique combination of softer powders which adheres easily to the eyes, gives a soft focus effect, and blends smoothly and evenly. (colourpop.com).Colourpop You Had Me At Hello Eyeshadow Palette Review and SwatchesPrice: $18, 12 x 0.85g (colourpop.com)Colourpop You Had Me At Hello Eyeshadow Palette Review and SwatchesColourpop You Had Me At Hello Eyeshadow Palette Review and SwatchesPackaging:  I like that the palette is super sleek, compact, sturdy, and travel friendly.  Like the other palettes, the names of the shades are directly on the back of the palette.  However, this was the first palette to include a mirror (woohoo!), which is reflected in the extra $2 pricing, I assume.  The ombre berry packaging with the metallic rose gold design is very cute.Colourpop You Had Me At Hello Eyeshadow Palette Review and SwatchesColourpop You Had Me At Hello Eyeshadow Palette Review and SwatchesFormula: There are 6 metallic and 6 matte shades so there is an equal playing field.  The mattes are so pigmented and buttery, with minimal pickup and fall out.  What is even more standout are the metallics, which are soooo creamy.  I am consistently taken back by how pigmented and beautiful they are.  They add a gorgeous pop of color in the center of the lid and perform like full on pigments.Colourpop You Had Me At Hello Eyeshadow Palette Review and SwatchesColor:  This palette has a gorgeous assortment of neutrals, pinks, purples, and browns.  I love that you can create complete mauvey or neutral eye looks, that work for day or night.  The Knot, a cool-toned ivory, and Moon Struck, a warm gold, make beautiful brow bone highlights, while the warm transition shades are absolutely delicious.  Pulling Strings, the caramel shade, is a favorite of mine.20171218_152734_20180227001456817Swatches:  Honestly, these swatches don’t do them justice.  You have to touch these eyeshadows in person to feel how creamy they are. Colourpop You Had Me At Hello Eyeshadow Palette Swatches and ReviewColourpop You Had Me At Hello Eyeshadow Palette Swatches and ReviewColourpop You Had Me At Hello Eyeshadow Palette Swatches and ReviewColourpop You Had Me At Hello Eyeshadow Palette Swatches and ReviewOverall Rating:  I adore this You Had Me At Hello Eyeshadow Palette so I award it a rating of 10/10 stars.  The formula is as buttery and pigmented as I’ve come to expect from Colourpop Pressed Eyeshadows.  I admit, when I first glanced at this palette, there was no particular shade that stood out to me, but as a whole, this is such a well thought out and complimentary palette.  I’m happy that they finally included a mirror, which I don’t put much weight into, until I’m on the road and in need of one 😉 I give this palette two thumbs up and recommend it wholeheartedly.

Have you tried the Colourpop You Had Me At Hello Palette?  What are your thoughts on Colourpop’s Pressed Eyeshadows?
