Karrueche x Colourpop Fem Rosa She Eyeshadow Palette Review

Happy Hump Day, loves!  Today, I’m bringing you my review of the Karrueche x Colourpop She Eyeshadow Palette from the Fem Rosa Collection!  I am obsessed with the Colourpop Yes, Please Palette (blogpost here) and the I Think I Love You Palette (blogpost here) so of course, I had to try out this She Palette as well 😉What it is: It’s coming up roses in soft mauve tones and buttery metallic finishes. Romantic shades make it easy to transition from sweet damsel to femme fatale (colourpop.com).

Price: $16, 12 x 0.85g (colourpop.com)Packaging:  Like the other two palettes, the names of the shades are labeled on the back and there is no mirror.  The pink, red, and purple rose packaging is totally gorgeous.  Additionally, this is super sleek, compact, sturdy, and travel friendly.  I brought this with me to Jamaica and never had issues with it opening in my makeup bag or any broken shadows.   Formula: I was not let down by the quality of these eyeshadows.  The formula is still just as creamy, blendable, and gorgeously pigmented as I’ve come to expect from Colourpop.  The mattes perform just as beautifully as the shimmers.  The mattes are on the softer side, so there is a fair amount of kick up and fallout when dipping my brush into the shadows.  However, this isn’t an issue for me as I apply my eyeshadow before my face makeup anyways.Color:  I have so many warm-toned eyeshadow palettes, so this cool-toned palette is a nice change to switch it up a bit.  I appreciate that the palette has a very cohesive color selection, so you could create a complete eye look using the mix of matte and shimmer shades.  The shimmers work well, complimenting the mauve-y matte shades.  If I could make one change though, I feel that some of the shimmers are fairly similar, particularly Dainty, Mademoiselle, and Empress.  When swatched on the arm, I detect minute differences, but on the eyes, they are almost indistinguishable.  I would have loved some different shimmers or even replaced with more matte shades.Swatches:  The metallic shades are gorgeous, but the matte shades on the bottom row are my personal favorites.Overall Rating:  I am very satisfied with the Colourpop She Eyeshadow Palette so I award it a rating of 9/10 stars!  $16 is an unbeatable price for a gorgeous assortment of 12 buttery smooth, ultra pigmented eyeshadows.  The only reason keeping this from a perfect star rating is the similarities in the shade selection of the metallic shades.  Nevertheless, the formula and performance of all the eyeshadows are stellar.  I give this palette two thumbs up and highly recommend.
