I’m From Rice Serum Korean Skincare Review

I’m From is a Korean Skincare brand that promises three things: ingredient transparency, honest materials, and no harmful additives. I’ve previously raved about their Rice Toner (review here), so I was ecstatic when Wishtrend sent me the newest additions to their beloved Rice line: the I’m From Rice Cream (stay tuned) and I’m From Rice Serum, which I’ll be reviewing today!

This serum contains 73% Rice Germ Fermented Extract, which retains more than 65% of the nutritional value in a grain of rice. It is also rich in vitamin B and powerful antioxidants, which will boost collagen production and improve skin elasticity. Use this serum before the rice cream to double the effect (wishtrend.com).The main active ingredient in this serum is the Rice Germ Fermented Extract that originates from the Yeoju region in Korea. I think it is so neat that it is clearly displayed on the packaging so you know the exact origins of the ingredients.In terms of packaging, the glass bottle with handy pump is tres chic and very much in line with their other aesthetically pleasing Rice products. I find that one full pump dispenses just the right amount of serum to cover my entire face and neck.For anyone who dislikes fragrances in their skincare, this has no scent, as far as I can detect. As a part of my day and nighttime skincare routine, I apply this Rice Serum after my Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop (review here) and before my moisturizer.Once worked into the skin, this gel serum melts into a watery texture that sinks right in with no tackiness or greasiness. It just feels very cooling and refreshing, making it a joy to work with every time. Because of its ultra lightweight texture and fast absorption, I can see this benefiting especially combination and oily skin types.As a reference, my skin type is very dry, with hyperpigmentation left over from acne scars. I loved the Rice Toner so much because of its gentle formulation and when used in conjunction with my Vitamin C Serum, there was a visible improvement in my texture and tone.I’m so happy that this serum offers the same brightening effect. Whenever I integrate this serum into my nighttime routine, I wake up in the morning with a noticeably brighter complexion and overall glow.
