September Monthly Empties and Reviews: Makeup, Skincare, Haircare

Happy Monday, Fam! Today, I’m sharing with you my Product Empties from the month of September, encompassing makeup, skincare, and haircare. Each of these products will be accompanied by a mini review, and recommendation on whether or not I would repurchase.

September Monthly Empties and Reviews: Makeup, Skincare, Haircare

MAKEUP

EOS Pomegranate Raspberry Lip BalmEOS Pomegranate Raspberry Lip Balm: I have to purchase lip balms in bulk because my husband is a lip balm addict. He even leaves them all over the house and in our cars so he would never be without one LOL EOS happens to be one of our favorites because of their cute packaging and wide selection of yummy flavors. Pomegranate Raspberry is a true fruity scent that isn’t overly sweet. We already have backups ready to go. Buy here.

Smashbox Always Sharp Lip Liner in CrimsonSmashbox Always Sharp Lip Liner in Crimson: This lipliner was a part of a previous Sephora Favorites Lip Kit, I believe. I enjoyed the convenience of the automatic liner and its creamy formula which glided on smoothly, without any bleeding. However, the price is a little steep for a lip liner. You could just as easily find another at the drugstore that would perform just as well. Buy here.

SKINCARE

Kylie Skin by Kylie Jenner Foaming Face WashKylie Skin by Kylie Jenner Foaming Face Wash: I received this in a Boxycharm and wanted to love it, as the packaging is adorable. Unfortunately, there is an ingredient in this foam wash (the fragrance perhaps?) that instantly irritated my skin and eyes. Additionally, this  cleansed my skin relatively well, but left it feeling overly dry. I passed this onto my husband, who has an oily/ combination skin type, and he rated it as a solid 7 out of 10 stars. Buy here.

Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin DropKlairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop I dedicated an entire blogpost review to this serum, which you can read here. In short, this is a very gentle Vitamin C serum that would work wonders for anyone just being introduced to Ascorbic Acid. After more than a month of daily use, this serum was been highly effective in brightening my overall skintone and preventing new dark spots from forming after my recent breakouts. I highly recommend this, as it’s one of my favorite products from Klairs. Buy here.

Sunday Riley Brightening Enzyme Water CreamSunday Riley Brightening Enzyme Water Cream: Water/gel based creams typically don’t provide enough moisture for my personal liking, but I was impressed with how hydrating this left my skin despite its lightweight texture. It absorbed quickly without any tackiness and has a fresh cucumber-esque scent. I already have a backup I purchased from Boxycharm PopUp ready to go, and I got my sister hooked on this water cream. She loves it! Buy here.

HAIRCARE

MoroccanOil Protect and Prevent SprayMoroccanOil Protect and Prevent Spray: I received this in a previous Boxyluxe, so it is rather on the pricier side for a hair protectant spray. However, this lightweight spray adds a layer of protection before I curl or straighten my hair with my heated styling tools. I always mist a generous amount of product all over my hair and it has never weighed it down. The classic, vanilla-esque MoroccanOil scent is an added bonus, as well. Buy here.

Have you tried any of these products?  How did they work for you?

Mary Dee
