Rovectin Skin Essentials Cleanser and Treatment Lotion Korean Skincare Review

Rovectin is a Korean skincare brand that was originally developed for those with highly sensitive and vulnerable skin to help restore and rebuild the strength of the skin’s natural barrier. They specialize in “hypoallergenic products that safely and gently restore your skin deep down to its natural healthy state—helping you look and feel better inside and out”. Wishtrend was kind enough to send me their newly launched Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser and Activating Treatment Lotion, so today I wanted to share with you my review of these goodies!

This cleanser is a gentle, low pH and hydrating cleanser that safely washes away daily grime and residue without stripping or the skin. This cleanser has a slight scent of coconut. (Natural coconut oil derivative, no artificial fragrance). Suitable for all skin types and can be used daily without any irritation (wishtrend.com).First off, I quite enjoy the frosted plastic bottle packaging and pump. I honestly feel every cleanser should include a pump, as it dispenses just the right amount of product everytime. This cleanser lathers up nicely with many small bubbles, though not as bubbly as say, a foam cleanser. I much prefer this gel formula as foam cleansers tend to zap my skin of moisture. This feels ultra gentle and rinses clean without ever leaving my skin feeling uncomfortably tight or dry. As a part of my nighttime skincare routine, I first remove my make up with micellar water, then follow up with this gel cleanser. I have gone to town on my stubborn eye makeup and this does a wonderful job of removing leftover waterproof mascara, without irritating my eyes or stinging them whatsoever, so I give them huge bonus points for that. No artificial fragrances are added to this cleanser, though there is a very slight coconut scent from natural coconut oil derivatives.I’ve incorporated this conditioning cleanser into both my day and nighttime skincare routine and have been thoroughly impressed with its performance. I can see this benefiting a wide range of skin types, but definitely dry skin in particular. If you are looking for a gentle, everyday cleanser, I highly recommend giving this one a try. Rovectin Skin Essentials Activating Treatment Lotion – Retail Price $29 – Buy here

This treatment lotion is a toner and an essence that hydrates the skin for a more supple appearance. This anti-aging barrier repair complex works to moisturize deep within the skin as a hyaluronic acid lotion while it evens the texture and neutralizes free radicals with powerful antioxidants (wishtrend.com).The packaging reminds me of the Missha Time Evolution First Treatment Essence, minus the glass. This plastic bottle eliminates the chances of glass shattering on the bathroom floor, which has happened on me, unfortunately.This treatment lotion has a highly viscous consistency, almost veering into serum territory. If you have tried the Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence, this has a very similar texture. It does stay somewhat tacky on the skin, so be wary if you have oily skin. I have very dry skin so I appreciate all the moisture I can get. I use this treatment lotion between my toner and serum steps, twice daily, and thoroughly enjoy how instantly hydrated it leaves my skin. This feels like a tall glass of water for parched skin, though I don’t see it having additional benefits such as brighening dark spots or reducing acne inflammation.This hypoallergenic formula is ultra gentle and won’t cause irritation on even the most sensitive skin types. If you are looking for a toner or essence whose sole purpose is purely hydration, I would totally recommend this.
