November Monthly Empties and Reviews

Happy December, folks!  Today, I’m sharing with you my November Product Empties!  You can find my Product Empties from October here.  Each of these products will be accompanied by a mini review, and recommendation on whether or not I would repurchase.20181202_135738

MAKEUP

November Monthly Empties and ReviewsColourpop No Filter Concealers:  This is my favorite concealer of all time.  The formula is creamy, blendable, and gives medium, buildable to full coverage.  Once it has been set with a powder, the concealer looks fresh and lasts all day.  This is the only liquid concealer that has ever completely covered up the birthmark under my right eye, and that’s saying a lot.  I cannot rave about this concealer enough.

Pur Mineral Glow Bronzing Powder: This bronzer has been through the ringer since I received it in a Boxycharm.  The powder is smooth, blendable, and pigmented enough to make an impact on my golden-tanned skin.  It has a subtle gold shimmer that gives a gorgeous all over glow.

SKINCARE

20181202_125039-01Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Marine Boosting Mist:  This Tarte packaging is super cute, while the spray pump dispensed a fine layer, which I enjoyed.  The facial mist smelled fresh and clean, like oranges, which felt very refreshing.  Unfortunately, it irritated my skin so I won’t be repurchasing, but I am keeping the travel- friendly spray bottle to pack on future trips.

Lancome Hydra Zen Anti Stress Moisturising Cream Gel:  This has a very strong, mature floral scent, which may be offputting for some peeps, but I personally don’t mind.  This moisturizer has a gel-like consistency, which is very lightweight and absorbs quickly.  My skin feels thoroughly hydrated, but never greasy, making it perfect for both dry and combination/oily skintypes.

Missha Time Revolution Clear Toner:  I received this as a free gift with purchase during a Missha Haul and was so impressed with its performance.  This ultra gentle toner left my skin feeling clean, but soft and hydrated.  I really enjoyed this and would happily repurchase another.

Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence:  This essence is very watery, lightweight, and absorbs quickly.  It doesn’t dramatically whiten my acne scars, but I see a huge difference in evening the overall texture.  When I wake up in the morning, I can see the skin is more smooth, plump, and radiant after overnight usage.  I’ve bought numerous bottles of this essence and will continue doing so.

Lab For You Juice Up Kale Mask:  This mask felt extra cooling and so relaxing on the skin, particularly after a long day.  It left my skin feeling refreshed and hydrated.  I’m excited I already have a backup in my arsenal.

BODYCARE

Gold Bond Ultimate Hydrating CreamGold Bond Ultimate Hydrating Cream:  I received this sample in a Walmart Beauty Box and didn’t think much of it, until I tried it one day, and wow, this is a fabulous body lotion!  The cream is so rich, hydrating, and smells like yummy cocoa butter.  I will definitely be purchasing a larger size as my skin needs all the moisture it can get in the upcoming winter months.

HAIRCARE

November Monthly Empties and ReviewsMoroccanoil Protect and Prevent Spray:  I typically enjoy Moroccanoil products, but this was an utter fail for me.  I sprayed the conditioner liberally over clean, damp hair and it did nothing to detangle or improve the condition of my hair.  I ended up using the entire bottle in just two uses, with no results.  Pass.

Aussie Mega Hairspray:  I packed this grape-scented hairspray with on my travels to tame flyaways and hold my updos.  It’s super affordable and gets the job done, but didn’t stand out enough to me to warrant a full size purchase.

Batiste Dry Shampoo:  This is my holy grail dry shampoo.  It soaks up excess oil in between shampoos, refreshes the hair, and doesn’t leave a gray cast on dark hair if you rub it in really well.  I have backups upon backups on these.

Nios Shield Leave In Conditioner:  I apply a generous amount of this conditioner all over my hair before I go swimming, whether it be at the pool or beach.  It does a wonderful job protecting my haircolor and preventing knots.  If you hate detangling your hair after swimming as much as I do, I highly recommend this.

Have you tried any of these products?  How did they work for you?

XO,

Mary Dee
