Mamonde Floral Hydro Eye Gel Cream Korean Skincare Review

Mamonde is a Korean Skincare brand that specializes in researching, cultivating, and capturing the essence of flowers and botanicals into all their products.  At their Mamonde Garden, located just outside Seoul, floral specialists study and carefully extract the active ingredients to integrate into their skincare line.  Mamonde was kind enough to send me their new Floral Hydro Eye Gel Cream infused with the Narcissus flower, so I thought I’d share with you a quick review.

Mamonde’s Floral Hydro Eye Gel Cream is formulated with water-cycle technology, which rapidly and intensely replenishes moisture, locking it in to prevent moisture loss. Micro-molecular hyaluronic acid absorbs up to 1,000 times its weight in moisture, to help create smoother, more supple-looking skin around the eye area (ulta.com).According to the Mamonde website, the narcissus flower stores ample moisture inside its bulb throughout winter, allowing it to flourish in early summer.  Once bloomed, narcissus’ flowers are able to circulate hydration between multiple flower heads.  If this botanical science sounds familiar, you might have remembered it from my previous review on the Mamonde Floral Hydro Cream (blogpost here).First off, I love the ombre jar packaging, which looks beautiful displayed on any vanity.  Like their moisturizer from the same line, this eye cream has a strong floral scent upon application, but doesn’t stick around for long.  I personally don’t mind fragrances in my skincare, so this doesn’t bother me whatsoever.  As for the formula, this gel-type cream feels lightweight and refreshing, almost cooling on the skin.  I am fortunate my only eye care concern is hydration, so I cannot attest to any additional benefits such as reducing dark circles or anti aging.  For a gel, I was pleasantly impressed with how moisturized it left my eye area.  I rather like that this eye cream stays somewhat tacky on the skin, as I feel it locks in moisture much longer, and makes for a nice base before makeup application.
