Lancome VoxBox Review

Hiii dolls!  Today, I will be reviewing the makeup goodies that I received in my Lancome VoxBox from Influenster!  This VoxBox’s theme is #LookMeInMyLashes and includes an eye cream, mascara, makeup remover, pencil sharpener, and two eyeliner pencils.  This was a generous package as Lancome is a department store brand, so I’m thankful to be able to partake in the campaign.  I’ve had about 3 weeks to put these products to the test and formulate my own opinions.  Please read on to see my rating of each product based on my personal experience 🙂

  1. Lancôme Visionnaire Yeux Eye On Correction Eye Balm – Deluxe Sample Sized – 0.101 oz

Lancôme Visionnaire Yeux Eye On Correction Eye BalmA fresh, hydrating eye treatment designed to reduce the appearance of puffiness, crow’s feet, and fatigue (sephora.com).  Because this is a deluxe-sized sample, I have not used it long enough to see dramatic results, so I cannot attest to its anti-wrinkle claims.  However, it does hydrate, feels very lightweight, and smooths the eyelid/undereye area before I apply my concealer.  In this dry cold weather, I appreciate all the moisture I can get!  This eye cream is not bad, but it’s also not mind blowing or standout for me so I would not repurchase.  Overall Rating: 6/10 Stars.

  1. Lancôme Définicils Mascara – Full Sized – 0.21 oz – Retail Price $27.50

Lancôme Définicils MascaraAn iconic, award-winning mascara that creates a natural-looking yet striking, lash look (sephora.com).  I love the sleek packaging and the slim brush is great for reaching those smaller lashes in the inner/outer corners and the bottom lashline.  This gives a very natural look, which would be great for those lucky gals/guys blessed with naturally long lashes.  However, for my short, sparse lashes, this mascara just doesn’t give me enough of an impact.  I prefer voluminous mascaras so unfortunately, this mascara did not work for me at all.  Overall Rating: 4/10 Stars.

  1. Lancôme Drama Liqui-Pencil in Noir Intense & Ampoule – Full Sized – 0.042 oz – Retail Price $23

Lancôme Drama Liqui-Pencil in Noir Intense & AmpouleAn extreme, long-wear, high-intensity color liquid-pencil eyeliner (sephora.com).   Ampoule is a metallic purple and Noir Intense is a classic deep black.  These pencils are pigmented and very creamy, gliding easily on the lid and waterline.  However, they never fully set so they transfer very easily, resulting in raccoon eyes 🙁  Additionally, I did not find them very blendable so they don’t really work well as an eyeshadow base either.  I found that when I layered an eyeshadow on top, it became very patchy.  This isn’t a terrible eyeliner, but for the high price point, this is a dud for me.  Overall Rating: 3/10 Stars.

  1. Lancôme Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover – Full Sized – 1.7 oz – Retail Price $15

Lancôme Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup RemoverAn award-winning, gentle, liquid eye makeup remover (sephora.com).  Once you shake this bottle up to mix up the contents, this is a fabulous eye makeup remover.  I use this after my Costco Makeup Remover Wipes to remove stubborn waterproof eyeliner and mascara.  Overall Rating: 8/10 Stars.

  1. Lancôme Le Sharpener – Full Sized – Retail Price $7

Lancôme Le SharpenerThis durable, quality-crafted design is the quickest and easiest way to sharpen Lancôme makeup pencils (macys.com).  This is a standard pencil sharpener that works well with these Lancome eyeliners and pencils from other brands.  I prefer pencil sharpeners with a container to capture the shavings until you can empty it, but this sharpener gets the job done.  Overall Rating: 7/10 Stars.

Final Thoughts:  Because Lancome is an established, high-end brand, I was very critical with my ratings.  While I am grateful for the opportunity to review these products, I was not overly impressed with their quality.  I do not feel they performed on par with their high price point.  I have quite a few affordable/ drugstore mascaras and eyeliners that performed just as well, if not better than these Lancome counterparts.  The only product I really enjoyed and would continue using is the Eye Makeup Remover.  I will be passing along the rest of the products in this VoxBox.

Have you tried any of these Lancome products?  What are your thoughts on their formula?

Thank you for reading, loves!  I will see you in another blogpost coming soon!

Mary Dee
