  1. Nars Velvet Lip Glide in Bound – Deluxe Sample Sized (0.07 oz)

20170323_164431A nude-pink, stay-all-day liquid lipstick that applies easily and leaves a semi-matte finish with a silky feel (insert).  Ooh la la, I love the sleek Nars packaging and beautiful dusty rose shade.  It looks like my natural lipcolor, but better of course.  The formula glides on effortlessly, but definitely has more of a sheen finish as opposed to matte.  It isn’t transfer proof, but lasts between meals, and feels very comfortable on.  Love this.

  1. Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream  – Deluxe Sample Sized (0.17 oz)

20170323_164736A luminous eye cream infused with coffee beans, ginseng, and magnolia extract to visibly brighten and depuff the undereye area (insert).  I don’t see much of a difference in terms of depuffing, but this eye cream is lightweight, quick absorbing, and makes a nice base for eye makeup.  There is a light shimmer that adds some brightening to the area as well.

  1. Clinique Pep-Start Hydroblur Moisturizer – Deluxe Sample Sized (0.24 fl oz)

20170323_164930A lightweight, oil-free moisturizer-meets-primer instantly blurs imperfections while providing all-day hydration for a silky. soft-focus finish (insert).  What a neat concept!  This hybrid cream has a silicone-y feel, similar to the consistency of the Benefit Pore Fessional, while also providing adequate moisturizing, if you have normal to oily/combo skin.  If you have drier skin, I would recommend a more heavy duty moisturizer before applying this.  Worn alone, this does blur my pores and mattify the skin overall.  This also worked great as a base/primer as my foundation glided easily and smoothly over it.  I dig it.

  1. Sephora Collection Lashcraft Length & Volume Mascara – Deluxe Sample Sized (0.094 fl oz)

20170323_164650A jet-black voluminizing mascara with an innovative flat, paddle-shaped wand to lengthen and lift lashes (insert).  This formula is pitch black and very thickening.  It builds up volume quickly, but can get clumpy with too many coats.  I recommend working quickly if you’re into more of a separated lash look.  I personally don’t mind as I need all the volume I can get 😉

  1. Too Faced Lip Injection Glossy in Milkshake – Deluxe Sample Sized (0.03 oz)

20170323_164835Sheer tinted gloss uses a botanical infused formula to visibly plum lips instantly while also hydrating and softening over time (insert).  Ok, so am I a total wimp or is the sting of this plumping gloss way intense?!  I didn’t think I was that sensitive as I love the Buxom Lip Creams, and those have a minty tingle.  But this is just too much for me and it stays tingling the entire time it was on my lips.  I love the nude shade, high shine, and the lips do look slightly more plump, but I really can’t stand the sting.  Unfortunately, this wasn’t for me.

  1. Marc Jacobs Divine Decadence Eau de Parfum – Sample Sized (0.04 fl oz)

20170323_164359Effervescent, floral, and bright, this sparkling champagne-doused scent is the embodiment of luxury and glamour (insert).  This Marc Jacobs fragrance has a very unique scent.  I can’t pinpoint the notes, but it is floral, yet also sweet to me.  I feel this would work for daytime and nighttime.

Overall Rating:  I was fairly satisfied with February’s Sephora Play! Bag so I award it a rating of 8/10 stars based on my first impressions.  There was a nice selection of makeup and skincare.  The Clinique hybrid primer surpassed my expectations and I liked that they included two lip products.  Lippies are my favorite products to sample, even if the Too Faced Lip Injection didn’t work for me.  My favorite picks of the batch was the Nars Velvet Lip Glide and Clinique Hydroblur Moisturizer.

What were your thoughts on the Sephora Play! Bag?  Which products were you most excited to test out?
