Boxycharm February 2017 Unboxing & First Impressions

Happy Sunday Funday!  I hope y’all having a great weekend so far 🙂  It’s time to dive into February’s Boxycharm!  Boxycharm is my favorite beauty subscription box that provides 5-6 full-sized items for $21/month.  What I love about Boxycharm is that the value of all the luxury products always well exceed the $21 price.

February’s theme was Would You Be My Galentine? and came with 5 products.IMG_20170323_220816_066

  1. Sedona Lace Trio Eye Kit – $39.95 (sedonalace.com)

20170323_170209Take your eye makeup to the next level with Sedona Lace’s new trio eye kit.  The cruelty free brushes are crafted out of state of the art, incredibly soft, synthetic bristles.  This complete set offers everything you need to achieve a gorgeous eye look – brows, shadow, and liner (excerpt).  Yay!  I have always wanted to try Sedona Lace brushes so I’m particularly excited about this trio.  I’ve used the Synthetic Blender Brush all week and it blended my undereye concealer perfectly.  I will update you once I’ve put the brow brush and bent eyeliner brush to the test.

  1. Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Pans in Beaches & Cream and Glamorous – $12 (makeupgeek.com)

20170323_170316A highly pigmented, high-end shadow for half the price without sacrificing quality (excerpt).  I adore Makeup Geek’s eyeshadow formula as they are buttery smooth and ultra pigmented so I was happy to add two more neutral shades to my collection.  Beaches & Cream is a matte light peach shade while Glamorous is a shimmery gold bronze shade.

  1. Small Z Palette – $14 (zpalette.com)

20170323_170129Completely customizable, this Small Z Palette, made exclusively for Boxycharm, features an open-faced, magnetic bases that allows you to easily switch out shades and products as often as you like (excerpt).  I love the versatility and convenience of Z Palettes!  I own a couple of the Large Palettes to hold my Makeup Geek and Coastal Scents eyeshadow collection.  I like that this smaller size holds only 9 pans so it is perfect for throwing in the purse and taking on the go.

  1. Doucce Mineral Matt Lipstick in Gorgeous Red – $20 (doucce.com)

20170323_165042A pure color lipstick that glides on effortlessly giving you a rich and velvet matte finish.  Infused with SPF 10 and vitamin E, application gives off a soft texture, leaving your lips hydrated all day with non-drying effect (exerpt).  O my goodness, this sleek gunmetal packaging is divine!  The lipstick is not at all matte like the name suggests, but leaves a creamy sheen on the lips.  It is super opaque, glides on like a dream, and feels super moisturizing.  It never fully sets so it will transfer if you eat or drink.   Also, this classic red shade is so chic and flattering.IMG_20170325_172142_405

  1. Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion– $79 (drbrandtskincare.com)

20170323_170246I’ve heard great things about Dr. Brandt products so I am excited to put this exofoliant to the test.  $79 for 2 oz of product?  Yowza!  I expect amazing results for that price tag!

Overall Rating:  I would give this month’s Boxycharm a rating of 10/10.  February’s Boxycharm had a combined value of $164.95, far exceeding the $21 price tag, making it a great value.  I really enjoyed the product selection ranging from makeup, to beauty tools, and skincare.  I loved every single goodie in my Boxycharm this month and will be happily using them all 😉

Did you enjoy your Boxycharm?  Which products are you most excited to test out?

Mary Dee
