Ipsy December 2017 Glam Bag Unboxing and First Impressions

Happy Saturday, y’all!  I hope you’re enjoying your weekend so far 🙂 Today, we will be going over the contents of December’s Ipsy Glam Bag!  You can find my November Ipsy Glam Bag here.  Ipsy is a beauty subscription service that provides 5-6 sample/full-sized items for $10/month.  What I like about Ipsy is that the price encompasses shipping, and it regularly includes full sized products in a cute cosmetics bag (sign up here).Ipsy December 2017 Glam Bag Unboxing and First ImpressionsDecember’s theme is Snow Globe and comes with 5 products in this zippered pouch.  The combo of silver sequins and seafoam detailing is super cute.Ipsy December 2017 Glam Bag Unboxing and First Impressions

  1. NYX Slide On Liner in Golden Bronze – Full Sized (0.04 oz) – Retail Price $8 – (nyxcosmetics.com)

NYX Slide On Liner in Golden BronzeDon’t let the softness of this pencil fool you. This formula doesn’t smear or smudge and delivers powerful robust colors. It’s like a liquid eye liner without the mess (nyxcosmetics.com).  These NYX Glide On Eyeliners are a great dupe for the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Liners, but at half the price.  The formula is just as creamy, pigmented, and long lasting.  This bronze-y copper shade looks gorgeous as a pop of color in the waterline.NYX Slide On Liner in Golden Bronze

  1. Too Faced Melted Latex Liquified High Shine Lipstick in Hot Mess – Deluxe Sample Sized (0.1 fl oz) – (toofaced.com)

Too Faced Melted Latex Liquified High Shine Lipstick in Hot MessMelted Latex redefines lips with a honey-like texture that ensures gloss clings to lips with a latex shine. Doe-foot applicator comfortably coats in bursts of intense, buildable, lacquered color that lasts for hours (toofaced.com).  This black and gold packaging is tres, plus the deluxe size is very generous, so this will last me for quite some time.  Hot Mess is a gorgeous magenta shade while the Melted Latex formula is a pigmented, high shine lip gloss.  I don’t usually gravitate towards colorful lipglosses, but I found this is long-lasting and doesn’t move around or bleed from the lipline.Too Faced Melted Latex Liquified High Shine Lipstick in Hot Mess

  1. SLMISSGLAM L36 Tapered Highlight Brush – Full Sized –  (slmissglambeauty.com)

SLMISSGLAM L36 Tapered Highlight BrushThis brush may be inspired by fairytales, unicorns, and mermaids, but it also means business. Not only does the tapered shape make applying your highlighter, bronzer, and contour super simple, but it can also be used with powder, liquid, and cream formula (ipsy.com).  I was unable to locate the price of this individual brush as it looks like their brushes are only sold in bundles and sets on the website, but this brush is crazy cute 😍  The glittery handle, pink bedazzles, and ombre pink/purple bristles are giving me life.  This is so pretty and the softs bristles makes for a soft application of highlighter on the cheekbones.

  1. Barefoot Venus Wild Flower Instant Hand Repair – Deluxe Sample Sized (1 oz) – Retail Price $6.50 – (barefootvenus.com)

Barefoot Venus Wild Flower Instant Hand RepairNourishing ingredients like shea butter, mangoseed butter, olive oil, and soybean oil work to give your skin a major moisture boost (ipsy.com).  This hand cream couldn’t have come at a better time.  Between the cold winter air and constant hand washing, my hands need all the hydration they can get.  This hand cream has a lovely fresh scent, feels moisturizing, and absorbs quickly so there’s no lasting greasy feeling.  I’ll be throwing this in my purse for easy reapplication throughout the day.  The adorable vintage packaging is an added bonus.

  1. Feel Brilliant Bamboo Charcoal Facial Sheet Mask – Full Sized x 2 – (thisisfeel.com)

Feel Brilliant Bamboo Charcoal Facial Sheet MaskBrilliant’s active charcoal sheet mask deeply cleanses and detoxifies to extract excess oil, bacteria, and all the other ickiness from the week out of your pores. Each non-woven bamboo fiber mask is saturated with the purifying properties of charcoal and hyaluronic acid to set you up for a salon-quality facial that reduces blemishes, while also leaving your skin toned and hydrating (mudmasky.com).  The retail price for a set of 4 masks is $35, which is a little high in my opinion.  I’m used to paying around $1- $2 for an individual mask, but I gotta say, this bamboo charcoal one feels so niiiiice.  The sheet mask smells refreshing, fits nicely over the face, and you can feel it tingling while it does its work.  I didn’t see a huge difference in pore minimization afterwards, but the cooling sensation during 30 minute application made it feel like a spa treatment.  I was very impressed 👌

Overall Rating:  I was very impressed with December’s Glam Bag so I give this month a rating of 10/10 stars, based on my first impressions.  I thoroughly enjoyed every single product I got to try out and loved the results, even the skincare product, which I usually glaze over.  If I had to narrow it down to two favorites, it would be the Too Faced Melted Latex and SLMISSGLAM Highlighter Brush.  Thank you Ipsy for coming through for the last bag of the year! 💖

What did you receive in your December Ipsy Glam Bag?  Which products are you most excited to test out?
