Ipsy February 2019 Glam Bag Unboxing and First Impressions

Hi, y’all!  Today, we will be going over the contents of February’s Ipsy Glam Bag!  You can find my January Ipsy Glam Bag here.  Ipsy is a beauty subscription service that provides 5-6 sample/full-sized items for $10/month.  What I like about Ipsy is that the price encompasses shipping, and it regularly includes full sized products in a cute cosmetics bag (sign up here).20190220_171427-01-01February’s Glam Bag comes with 5 products in this adorable pink lipstick printed pouch.Ipsy February 2019 Glam Bag Unboxing and First Impressions

  1. GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow – Deluxe Sized – (Buy here)

GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude GlowThis illuminating moisturizer can be worn alone, but I like using this under a BB Cream for an extra boost of radiance and hydration.  The effect is similar to the Becca Backlight Priming Filters, in the sense that it gives a very subtle, natural glow to the skin.  As a bonus, I really enjoy the refreshing, fruity scent upon application.

  1. Laqa and Co Prickly Pear pH Gloss – Deluxe Sized – (Buy here)

Laqa and Co Prickly Pear pH GlossI was ready to pass on this hot pink gloss before I even tried it, but gave it a go anyways after reading its claims to adjust to your lip’s pH levels to create your own custom shade.  It looks very bright in the swatch below, but on my lips, it actually softens to a natural, muted pink (thank goodness), which is a lot more wearable for everyday.  I actually really like the prickly pear scent, plus formula is very hydrating and non-sticky.Laqa and Co Prickly Pear pH Gloss Swatches

  1. KNC Beauty Star Eye Mask – Full Sized – (Buy here)

KNC Beauty Star Eye MaskThese eye masks are so darn cute and giving me major Sailor Moon vibes 😍 Do I see a huge difference in my skin after the treatment?  Not really.  But they do feel refreshing and moisturizing on the skin, and I give them points for the novelty.

  1. FARAH Brushes Powder Brush 50F – Full Sized –  (Buy here)

FARAH Brushes Powder Brush 50FThis hot pink brush is so pretty!  It feels well built and has very soft bristles.  The brush has a somewhat tapered shape, which makes it the perfect size for applying powder bronzer or blush.FARAH Brushes Powder Brush 50F

  1. Inara CosmoBeauty Nail Polish in Pulse – Full Sized – (Buy here)

Inara CosmoBeauty Nail Polish in PulseI haven’t been able to test this nail polish formula yet, as I’m still wearing my Kiss Press-On Nails, but this fire engine red is beautiful and goes so well with the romantic theme of this month’s Glam Bag.  I look forward to rocking this shade soon.

Overall Rating:  I was satisfied with February’s Ipsy Glam Bag so I’m giving this month a rating of 8/10 stars, based on my first impressions.  Admittedly, I was not initially thrilled by the product selection whatsoever, but I was swayed more in their favor after actually testing out the products.  I also appreciate the aesthetically pleasing pink theme for Valentine’s Day, despite this arriving after the 14th.  My favorite picks of the batch are the Farah Powder Brush and GlamGlow Illuminating Moisturizer.

What did you receive in your February Ipsy Glam Bag?  Which products are you most excited to test out?

XO,

Mary Dee
