September Monthly Empties and Reviews

Today, I’m sharing with you my Product Empties from the month of September!  You can find my Product Empties from August here.  Each of these products will be accompanied by a mini review, and recommendation on whether or not I would repurchase.September Monthly Empties and Reviews

MAKEUP

September Monthly Makeup Empties and ReviewsJordana Easyliner Retractable Pencil in Rock n Rose: The formula of these lipliners are so creamy, pigmented, and glides on like a dream.  The twist top is very convenient for travel because you don’t need to worry about packing a pencil sharpener.  Rock n’ Rose is my go-to nude lipliner and I have backups upon backups of these.

Essence The False Lashes Mascara Extreme Volume & Curl: Admittedly, I was not a fan when I first tried this mascara, because I found the formula to be too wet, making it difficult to hold a curl.  My recommended technique is to apply one coat, wait a minute or two for it to dry, then apply another.  The mascara will build upon itself, giving you the thickest, most voluminous lashes.  This is one of my top favorite mascaras of the year (blogpost here).

SKINCARE

September Monthly Skincare Empties and ReviewsDr. Brandt Clean Biotic pH Balanced Yogurt Cleanser: This cleanser has the exact same texture and consistency as yogurt.  The lightly scented cream gel does not lather up, but rinses clean without stripping the skin of moisture.  I would not recommend this for makeup removal, but it worked fine as a morning cleanser.  I’m glad I had the opportunity to try this from my previous Boxycharm, but won’t be purchasing a replacement.

Missha Time Revolution Clear Toner:  This ultra gentle toner leaves my skin feeling clean, but soft and hydrated.  If you have dry skin, like myself, I highly recommend giving this a try.   I’ve purchased this several times, as this is my holy grail toner.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Eye Cream: The lightweight gel formula absorbs quickly, while still providing enough hydration to prime the eye area for makeup.  Plus, how about that ombre blue packaging? 😍 I received this sample in May’s Sephora Play Box (blogpost here) and it’s lasted me months.

Etude House Moistfull Super Collagen Essence: Can you believe this was my very first introduction to Essences many years ago?  This provides an extra layer of hydration before serum and moisturizers, but doesn’t provide much improvement to texture and tone.  I’ve since discovered better performing essences from Missha and CosRX, so I won’t be repurchasing this after finishing off the samples.

HAIRCARE

September Monthly Haircare Empties and ReviewsTresemme Heat Tamer Leave In Spray:  Does this truly protect my hair from my curling iron?  I honestly have no clue LOL But it’s lightweight, smells nice, and doesn’t leave any tackiness in my hair.  I’ve started curling my hair twice a week now, and I’ve been reaching for this affordable heat protectant every time.

Have you tried any of these products?  How did they work for you?

XO,

Mary Dee
