  1. Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser

Philosophy Purity Made Simple CleanserAn effective one-step cleanser that tones and lightly hydrates skin (insert).   This is my holy grail face wash.  I use this every night with my Clarisonic to cleanse my face after I’ve removed my makeup with some micellar water.  This is an ultra gentle cleanser that takes off any residual makeup, but doesn’t strip the skin of moisture.

  1. Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting PowderA silky, sheer powder that locks in makeup for long-lasting wear (insert).  I was stoked to finally try this cult favorite translucent powder and it did not disappoint.  The finely milled powder is creamy, sets my concealer flawlessly, and doesn’t leave a white cast.  I’m happy to report this lives up to the hype.20181121_150435-01

  1. Grande HydraPlump Semi-Matte Liquid Lipstick in Smoked Sherry

Grande HydraPlump Semi-Matte Liquid Lipstick in Smoked SherryA liquid lipstick in a red mauve shade with a semi-matte finish (insert).  I despise the sting of lip plumpers so I was not looking forward to trying this liquid lipstick.  While it does tingle for the first couple of minutes after application, it is not unbearable and it fades away.  Whew!  This liquid lipstick has a beautiful mousse formula!  It glides on like a dream, coating the lips in opaque color with one layer, and feels ultra lightweight.  It is long-lasting and wears away very naturally as you’re eating throughout the dayGrande HydraPlump Semi-Matte Liquid Lipstick in Smoked Sherry

  1. Moroccanoil Protect and Prevent Spray

Moroccanoil Protect and Prevent SprayA leave-in conditioner that prevents color fading and brassiness (insert).  I typically enjoy Moroccanoil products, but this was an utter fail for me.  I sprayed the conditioner liberally over clean, damp hair and it did nothing to detangle or improve the condition of my hair.  I ended up using the entire bottle in just two uses, with no results.  Pass.

  1. Tarte Drink of H2O Hydrating Boost Moisturizer Rainforest of the Sea

Tarte Drink of H2O Hydrating Boost Moisturizer Rainforest of the SeaA vegan, gel moisturizer that cools and refreshes parched skin (insert).  This moisturizer has a gel-like consistency that feels lightweight and absorbs quickly.  My skin feels hydrated and prepped for foundation application.Tarte Drink of H2O Hydrating Boost Moisturizer Rainforest of the Sea

  1. Tory Burch Just Like Heaven Eau de Parfum

Tory Burch Just Like Heaven Eau de ParfumThis floral citrus mix is a vivid scent composed of pure ingredients like rhubarb, mandarin, hyacinth flower, and ylang-ylang (insert).  This floral is very daytime appropriate and smells nice enough, but is just not my cup of tea, personally.

Overall Rating:  I’m totally satisfied with November’s Sephora Play! Bag so I’m giving it a rating of 10/10 stars.  With the exception of one product, I was impressed with the overall performance and variety.  My favorite picks of the bunch are the Grande Liquid Lipstick and Laura Mercier Translucent Powder.

What are your thoughts on the Sephora Play! Bag?  Which products were you most excited to test out?
