CVS Drugstore Makeup Mini Haul and Reviews

I used to never shop at CVS, as I found their makeup was always priced higher than at Target or Walmart, but lately, they keep sucking me back into the store with their email promotions, coupons, and Extra Bucks rewards program! 😅 If you keep an eye out on their weekly ads, you can score makeup at total steals, like I was able to stack coupons on this transaction.  Today, I’m bringing you a review of some goodies I picked up while shopping at the CVS drugstore.  CVS Drugstore Makeup Mini Haul and Reviews

  1. Wet n Wild MegaCushion Foundation in Honey Beige – Retail Price $8.99 (Buy here)Wet n Wild MegaCushion Foundation in Honey BeigeWet n Wild MegaCushion Foundation in Honey BeigeLiquid foundation in a cushion compact. Tap the cushion to add just the right amount of coverage or double tap to add more. It’s perfectly portable too, with an air tight, no mess compact that makes applying liquid foundation a breeze. Infused with coconut derivative, the luminous, lightweight, and buildable formula helps boost hydration and contains SPF 15 for added skin protection (wetnwildbeauty.com).  While the packaging isn’t the most sleek, I still like the cute compact and convenience of the mirror inside.  I appreciate that they included the sponge, but I like applying this foundation best with a flat top kabuki brush, for the most coverage.  I am very impressed with this foundation!  The consistency is watery and very lightweight, yet it provides medium, buildable to full coverage, and a natural finish.  Honey Beige has very warm undertones that matches my summer tan perfectly.  My only gripe with this product is that at 0.52 fl oz, it has only about half the amount of a standard bottle of foundation, making it more expensive, particularly since I will be running out of product a lot more quickly.  I would love to see Wet n Wild come out with cushion refills, offered at a lower cost, which would also cut down on packaging.  Overall Rating: 9/10 stars.Wet n Wild MegaCushion Foundation in Honey Beige SwatchesWet n Wild MegaCushion Foundation in Honey Beige Swatches
  2. Wet n Wild MegaGlo Contour Makeup Stick in Where’s My Walnut? – Retail Price $3.99 (Buy here)Wet n Wild MegaGlo Contour Makeup Stick in Where's My Walnut? In one swipe of a stick, you can get catwalk-ready cheekbones, naturally flushed cheeks or an insanely glowy complexion. Toss one of these portable makeup sticks in your purse or pocket and youll be camera-ready in less time it takes to double tap (wetnwildbeauty.com).  This is my second time purchasing this contour stick so you already know I’m a fan.  The packaging is adorable, but cheap.  I have a hard time keeping the cap on, but the product itself makes it worth overlooking that flaw.  The formula is so pigmented, yet creamy and blendable.   This makeup stick makes it so easy to quickly bronze up the face.  It will last all day if you set the cream with a powder bronzer on top, but I love the natural finish it gives my skin on its own. Where’s My Walnut? is definitely on the warmer side, but I personally don’t mind as I find they’re more flattering with my skintone.  Anything too cool-toned looks ashy and muddy on me.  Overall Rating: 10/10 stars.Wet n Wild MegaGlo Contour Makeup Stick in Where's My Walnut?Wet n Wild MegaGlo Contour Makeup Stick in Where's My Walnut? 3. Physicians Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer – Retail Price $12.99 (Buy here)Physician's Formula Spotlight Illuminating PrimerThe Physicians Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer is enriched with antioxidants that protects skin and visibly reduce redness. Infused with 5 Filtering Luminescent Pearls to blur imperfections and deliver a spotlight glow. It has age-defying actives that blurs, corrects, and protects (ulta.com).  This Physicians Formula Primer is very comparable to the Becca Backlight Priming Filter, but at a fraction of the cost.  I honestly can’t tell the difference between the consistency and performance of both products.  I like everything about the packaging from the sleek glass bottle, to the ombre cap with a pump.  Tres chic 👌 This primer has very finely milled shimmers that gives the skin the most gorgeous luminous glow.  It doesn’t necessarily fill in my pores or prolong the wear-time of my makeup, but my foundation glides smoothly on top like buttaaahh.  If you are looking for a very natural, glow from within look, you will love this illuminating primer.  Overall Rating: 10/10 stars.Physician's Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer
