Boxycharm March 2017 Unboxing & First Impressions

Happy Hump Day, y’all!  It’s time to dive into March’s Boxycharm 🙂  Boxycharm is my favorite beauty subscription box that provides 5-6 full-sized items for $21/month.  What I love about Boxycharm is that the value of all the luxury products always well exceed the $21 price.

March’s theme is Creepy Cute and comes with 5 products.IMG_20170323_221416_584

  1. Naked Cosmetics Urban Rustic Palette – $39.99 (nakedcos.com)

IMG_20170323_223704_162These colors offer a dramatic look when applied damp or with an eye base.  The colors have hints of green, bronze, purple, and brown (excerpt).  I’ve received loose pigments from Naked Cosmetics in previous Ipsy bags and liked their beautiful formula.  These pressed eyeshadows are equally stunning.  The formula is so smooth, creamy, and pigmented while the unique shade selection is gorgeous.  Combined with other matte eyeshadows from my collection, I’ve created looks, using each shade as a pop of color, and loved the results.20170405_16294920170405_163229

  1. Crown Brush SS023 Deluxe Fan Brush – $18.99 (crownbrush.com)

20170323_172334This Fan Brush features a large, fanned brush head perfect for the soft application of powder products.  This brush is also great for lightly dusting shimmer products onto skin (excerpt).  I personally love using these large fan brushes for all-over contouring/bronzing, but they also work great for dusting on highlighter.  This is a great quality brush.  The synthetic bristles are super soft and apply bronzer/contour powder beautifully.

  1. RealHer Matte Liquid Lipstick in Ladylove – $15 (realher.com)

20170323_172746Lightweight formula glides onto lips leaving super intense color with a bold, ultra-matte finish.  Long wearing, and completely kissproof, this bomb formulation helps to combat dryness and nourish your lips during wear (excerpt).  Wow!  I did not know what to expect as this was my first time trying the RealHer brand, but I was so impressed with the quality of this liquid lipstick.  The narrow, tapered applicator conforms nicely to the lips, applying an even layer of super pigmented color that is buildable.  The liquidy formula dries down to a true matte finish and is totally transfer-proof and longlasting.  This fuchsia shade is absolutely gorgeous and I will be rocking it well into summer.  LOVE this lipstick! IMG_20170403_162037_082

  1. RealHer Lipliner in I Am Unique – $12.50 (realher.com)

20170323_172530A creamy lip liner that glides across lips to define your pout (exerpt).  This lipliner is so creamy and pigmented, and the shade perfectly compliments the Ladylove Liquid Lipstick in this box.  The color combo is perfection.IMG_20170403_162553_156

  1. Smashbox Photo Finish Primer– $16 (smashbox.com)

20170323_172422This primer is the first product that was ever created at Smashbox photo studios L.A.  It instantly blurs lines and pores, leaving skin with a velvety smooth, even finish.  This classic Smashbox primer is the best way to start your makeup everyday (exerpt).   Ah yes, an oldie, but a goodie.  This is one of my favorite foundation primers ever so I was happy to receive another refill.  This silicone-based primer feels lightweight, fills in my pores, and evens my skin, making for a great base before foundation application.

Overall Rating:  Ladies and gentlemen, we have another winning Boxycharm!  Based on my experience testing out each product, I give March’s Boxycharm a rating of 10/10.  I freakin’ love this month’s box!  March’s Boxycharm has a combined value of $102.48, which far exceeds the $21 price tag, making it a great value.  On top of that, I genuinely adore every single product included and cannot pick a favorite among them.  These picks are all stellar.  Great job, Boxycharm!

Did you enjoy your Boxycharm?  Which products are you most excited to test out?

Mary Dee
