Ipsy Glam Bag November 2016 Unboxing

Happy Wednesday, loves!  Today, I will be sharing with you the contents of my November Ipsy Glam Bag!  Ipsy is a beauty subscription service that provides 5-6 sample/full-sized items for $10/month.  What I like about Ipsy is that the price encompasses shipping, and it regularly includes full sized products in a cute cosmetics bag.  Let’s dive right in and get started!

November’s theme is Rockstarlet and the Glam Bag comes with 5 products in this cute navy and silver constellation-themed pouch.

1. Absolute NY Matte Stick Lipstick in Dark Red – Full Sized (5.4g) – $5.99 (absolutenyproducts.com)Combine the sophistication of a matte lip with super rich color for an incredible finish. This creamy and comfortable lipstick glides across lips, and lasts, for the perfect demure pout  (absolutenyproducts.com).  What a gorgeous classic blue-red shade!  This is my first time hearing about this brand, but I am impressed with this lovely color in the sleek packaging.

2. Indie Lee C0Q-10 Toner – Deluxe Sized (0.34 fl oz)An alcohol free, skin-balancing toner formulated with the powerful antioxidant CoQ-10. The hydrating and refreshing mixture helps close pores and balance the skin’s pH level using Aloe Vera and Hyaluronic Acid (indielee.com).  This was the first product I put to the test as it caught my eye right off the bat.  I gotta say, this spray feels pretty fabulous.  It dispenses a fine mist, feels so refreshing before I apply my moisturizer, and it smells like a spa.  LOVE this.  Retail price is $32 for 4 oz… Yowza.

3. Luxie 524T Brush – Travel SizedDuo fibers give us greater control over how we apply…Synthetic white fibers on the end of the brush lay down pigments more gently than a denser brush would… Plays well with powders, creams and liquids (ipsy.com).  I love the quality of Luxie brushes and this travel friendly duo fiber brush would be perfect for touch ups on the go. 

4. Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Black – Deluxe Sized – (0.04 oz)Eyeko’s easy-to-apply, liquid eye liner pen allows you to create thick feline flicks or fine defined lines to accentuate your eyes. Unique long-lasting formula featuring key ingredient sodium hyaluronate for a gratifying, color-intense smudge-proof finish (ulta.com).  I have sooo many black felt tip liner pens from all my subscription boxes, but this is my first time trying the Eyeko brand.  Retail price is $16 for a 0.07 oz so this sample size is very close to full size.

5. The Balm Mad Lash Black Mascara – Deluxe Sized – (0.08 fl oz)Equipped with an injection molded wand, Mad Lash transforms your lashes to new levels of height and fullness. The phenomenal formula delivers intense volume and definition in a rich black shade that’ll bring your lashes to life (thebalm.com).  I was really hoping this curved brush would curl my ultra stubbornly-straight lashes, but unfortunately, it had little impact 🙁  This isn’t a bad mascara, but it would be better suited for someone with naturally long or curly lashes (lucky!).

Overall Rating:  I would give this month’s Glam Bag a rating of 8/10 stars, based on my first impressions.  Yay!  Finally!  After a series of disappointing Glam Bags, I was pleasantly impressed with my selection of products this month.  The deluxe sizes were generous and I really enjoyed the travel-friendly toner and Luxie Brush the most.  Thank you for renewing my faith in you, Ipsy! 🙂
