Milani Haul and Reviews

Hiii, dolls!  Today, I’m sharing with you product reviews from my Milani Haul!  Milani had a 30% off sale during Memorial Day, which also included 2 deluxe gifts with purchase, so naturally I couldn’t resist.  This was my second time ordering directly from the Milani website, and I need to give them props because I received a shipping confirmation the same day I placed my order AND these all arrived on my doorstep in just 2 days.  Sweet! 🙌Milani Haul and Reviews

Milani Rose Blush Trio Palette in Flowers of Love – Retail Price $13 (Buy here)

Milani Rose Blush Trio Palette in Flowers of LoveIt’s petal-perfect beauty times 3! Our Rose Blush Trio features three color coordinated, highly pigmented shades that can be worn together or alone to amplify and define cheekbones (milanicosmetics.com).  I love both Milani’s Baked Blushes and their Rose Powder Blushes, and this palette is definitely on par with the individual pans in terms of quality.  The formula is creamy, pigmented, and blend beautifully on the cheeks.  Admittedly, I wanted to get the Floral Fantasy Trio, which has the warm coral tones, but it was completely sold out at the time.  Still, these rosy pink shades are gorgeous and flattering.  The first shade is too light for me, but I appreciate that they tried to cater to both fair and deeper skintones in the same palette.  Mixing the second and third shades yields my perfect flushed shade.  As for the packaging?  It’s fairly obvious the gold and flower imprints are absolutely stunning!  Overall Rating: 10/10 stars.Milani Rose Blush Trio Palette in Flowers of LoveMilani Rose Blush Trio Palette in Flowers of Love Swatches

Milani Hypnotic Lights Holographic Eye Topper in Luster Light – Retail Price $11 (Buy here)

Milani Hypnotic Lights Holographic Eye Topper in Luster LightMilani Hypnotic Lights Holographic Eye Topper in Luster LightA high-impact duochrome eye topper with a shimmering finish. Layer on top of eyeshadow to give a dazzling, prismatic effect or wear alone for a wash of glittering color. The water-based formula dries quickly for a lustrous finish with minimal fall out (milanicosmetics.com).  I have not tried the Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadows so I cannot vouch that this Milani Eye Topper is an affordable dupe, but I can say that this is leagues better than the Colourpop Supernova Shadows, which are very patchy and create a ton of fallout.  This applies much more smoothly, gives a beautiful pop of glitter, and lasts all day.  To apply, I dab a small amount on the back of my hand, then use my fingers to pat on a thin layer on the center of my lids, a bit at a time until it reaches the desired opacity.  Luster Light is a gorgeous shimmering duochrome rose gold with champagne reflect.  I am so impressed with this glitter and I already have my eye on the other shades. Milani Stellar Lights Highlighter Palette in Rose Glow – Retail Price $13 (Buy here)

Milani Stellar Lights Highlighter Palette in Rose GlowInstantly add an incandescent glow anywhere you want shimmer! Stellar Lights Highlighter Palette features a complementary trio of micro-milled, buildable powders that blend seamlessly and leaves a luminous finish. Each richly pigmented shade delivers multi-dimensional highlighting effects, and can be worn alone or together for multiple, the-way-you-like-it, customized looks (milanicosmetics.com).  This highlighter trio has a creamy, buttery formula that is also super pigmented and highly reflective.  I love that it packs a punch, but doesn’t emphasize the texture of my skin.  I like applying Pearl, the lightest shade on the left, on my browbone and inner corners of my eyes.  Golden Quartz, the middle shade, is stunning on the cheekbones and forehead, while Rose Gold, the last shade on the right, is a beautiful blush topper.  Honestly, I like this palette’s formula even more than Milani’s individual highlighter pans.  As for the chic wavy shell imprint, sleek gold compact, and travel friendly packaging? Milani Prep + Brighten Rose Face Oil – Retail Price $14 (Buy here)

Milani Prep and Brighten Rose Face OilOur Rose Face Oil is an indulgent custom blend of Vitamin C, Sunflower, Apricot Kernel, Sweet Almond, and Crambe Abyssinica Oils designed to brighten and balance your skin. Weightless and fast absorbing, it nourishes the skin and replenishes moisture for a youthful, dewy glow. May be used on the face, hair, and body (milanicosmetics.com).  I’ve been obsessed, not to mention completely dependent, on facial oils ever since my skin became as dry as the desert climate I live in.  I was totally drawn to this Milani oil for its heavenly rose scent and chic rose gold packaging 😍 I’ve incorporated this into my daytime skincare routine for about a month now, and I have seen noticeably more moisturization and overall brightening in my skin.  Milani’s Oil is not as thick as the Josie Maran Argan Oil or Tarte Maracuja Oil, so it absorbs quicker into the skin, creating a smooth canvas for makeup application.  I used to have dry patches around my nose which foundation loved to cling through, but I no longer have that problem.  I can’t recommend this rose oil enough.  Overall Rating: 10/10 stars.Milani Prep and Brighten Rose Face Oil

Milani Prep + Soothe Camellia Face Oil – Retail Price $14 (Buy here)

Milani Prep and Soothe Camellia Face OilStart your beauty regimen with our soothing Camellia Face Oil – a luxurious blend of Grapeseed, Camellia, Sunflower, and Sweet Almond Oils for a healthy glow. Fast-absorbing and weightless, this face oil is packed with moisture boosting fatty acids and antioxidants to help prevent dryness and protect your skin. May be used on the face, hair, and body (milanicosmetics.com).  I honestly can’t see or feel a difference between this Milani Camellia Oil and their Rose Oil.  Both feel amazing, lightweight, and ultra moisturizing on the skin.  The only difference, as far as I can tell, is the color of the packaging and the scent.  The Camellia oil has a spa-like herbal scent, which makes it very soothing and relaxing, perfect as the last step of my nighttime skincare routine.  Overall Rating: 10/10 stars.20180528_114901Milani Prep and Sooth Camellia Face Oil

Free Minis / Gift with Purchases:Milani Make It Last Setting Spray Prime and Milani Prime Shield Face Primer

Milani Make It Last Setting Spray Prime + Correct + Set – Retail Price $7 (Buy here)

Milani Make It Last Setting Spray Prime + Correct + SetLock in your makeup and keep that just applied look all day and into the night—no touchups needed! Make It Last Setting Spray primes, corrects and sets your look for up to 16 hours without a crease or smudge in sight, and prevents fading and shine. Spray under or over makeup, or wear on its own for a beautifully matte, flawless face (milanicosmetics.com).  I have heard nothing but rave reviews about this setting spray… but it just doesn’t work for me.  Despite it locking makeup in place and melting away most of the powdery look, I’m just not impressed with the drying finish it leaves on my skin.  I feel this might be better suited for those with oilier skin types looking for a matte finish.  I don’t think this is a terrible product, so I’m putting it aside for my travels to a more humid climate.  For now, I’m sticking to a more hydrating spray, such as my beloved ELF Makeup Mist and Set.  Overall Rating: 6/10 stars.

Milani Prime Shield Face Primer – Retail Price $7 (Buy here)

Milani Prime Shield Face PrimerMeet the invisible but powerful answer to picture-perfect skin! Prime Shield Mattifying + Pore-Minimizing Face Primer softens the appearance of fine lines, large pores and flaws and creates a smooth canvas for makeup application. This translucent primer blends invisibly onto the skin, resulting in a beautiful matte finish (milanicosmetics.com).  This primer is an affordable dupe for the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation primer.  It has the exact same clear consistency and silicone-y texture.  I prefer a more moisturizing primer at the moment, but this Milani Prime Shield does a wonderful job of filling in pores and creating a smooth canvas for foundation application.  Overall Rating: 8/10 stars.
