January Monthly Favorites and Reviews

Happy Monday, everyone!  Today we will be going over January’s Monthly Favorites!  These are the beauty products I couldn’t put down last month.January Monthly Favorites and Reviews

MAKEUP

Colourpop You Had Me At Hello Eyeshadow PaletteColourpop You Had Me At Hello Eyeshadow Palette:  I’ll be dedicating an entire blogpost review to this palette, with swatches, so I’ll keep this short.  The shade selection is a gorgeous mix of warm browns and mauves, perfect for everyday looks.  The formula is so creamy and pigmented, particularly the shimmers, which are divine.Colourpop You Had Me At Hello Eyeshadow PaletteELF Expert Liquid Liner: I saw Nicole Renee Cutler on YouTube raving about this eyeliner so I had to give this a go.  At only $2 a pop, I was so impressed with this brush tip liner.  It makes it super easy to create a sharp, precise wing.  The formula is excellent, though not as waterproof or pitch black as my beloved Wet n Wild Liquid Liner.  Still, I would repurchase this in a heartbeat because of its ease of usage.

LA Girl Pro Coverage HD Foundation in Warm BeigeLA Girl Pro Coverage HD Foundation in Warm Beige:  This is one of my favorite foundations from the drugstore (blogpost here).  It provides buildable medium to full coverage and blurs imperfections, with a natural, satin finish.  Typically, this is a very dewy foundation for me, but with my desert dry skin lately, it is a welcome drink of moisture.  The yellow undertones of Warm Beige match me perfectly.Tarte Blush Bazaar Palette ReviewTarte Blush Bazaar: I received this recently in a Tarte Mini Haul (blogpost here) and haven’t reached for another blush since.  The compact packaging is so chic and holds all the blush shades you would ever need for every look.  Additionally, the formula is consistent with Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush singles, being pigmented and blendable.Tarte Blush Bazaar Palette Review and SwatchesArtist Couture Diamond Glow PowderArtist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Conceited: This loose highlighter powder is so pigmented and finely milled.  The rose gold shade is stunning and flattering on a wide range of skintones.  I love the sheen it gives my cheekbones and how much it brightens the inner corners of my eyes.Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder Swatches

Ofra Highlighter in Rodeo DriveOfra Highlighter in Rodeo Drive:  This powder is intensely pigmented, so use a light hand unless you want to be seen from space 😉 The imprint pattern is so chic and golden champagne shade is very flattering, particularly with a tan.Ofra Highlighter in Rodeo Drive

Laura Gellar Baked Gelato Swirl IlluminatorsLaura Gellar Baked Gelato Illuminator in Gilded Honey:  Can you tell I was on a highlighter kick last month? 😉 This highlighter has a bouncy, almost mousse-like texture.  It gives a gorgeous golden sheen to the cheekbones.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlight in Opal:  This might be my favorite liquid highlighter formula yet, even more so than the Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops.  This gives a very subtle glow, but blends out beautifully.  It doesn’t pill or dry patchy, even over my powders.

Milani Color Statement Lipliner in Nude: This wooden lipliner is so creamy, but doesn’t feather or bleed.  It compliments all my nude lipsticks and is the perfect shade to slightly overline my lips.Kylie Cosmetics Lipgloss in LiterallyKylie Cosmetics Lipgloss in Literally: This lipgloss has a strong vanilla frosting scent, which I personally enjoy.  The nude shade is pigmented enough to be worn without a lipstick underneath.  It is thicker in consistency so it’s long-lasting.  A layer of this gloss over the Milani Nude Lipliner?  Ciao Bella! 👌

BEAUTY TOOLS

Huda Beauty Carmen LashesHuda Beauty Carmen Lashes: I received these Huda Lashes in an Ipsy Offer filled with random beauty products.  I have smaller eyes, but don’t need to trim these down at all to fit my eye shape.  They look very dramatic in person, but for photos, they’re fluttery, compliment any smokey eyes, and photograph beautifully.Huda Beauty Carmen Lashes

SKINCARE

Tarte Maracuja Bronzing Serum ReviewTarte Maracuja Bronzing Serum: I like applying about 3 drops of this oil to my skin in the daytime, after my essence and moisturizer.  It gives me a very subtle tanned tint and overall glow, while providing some much needed moisture.  My foundation/ BB Cream glides on top like buttah and looks smoother throughout the day.

NAILCARE

KL Nail Polish in PorterKL Nail Polish in Porter:  KL Polish by Kathleen Lights has one of the best nail polish formulas I’ve ever tried.  The wide brush makes it easy to quickly apply color while the formula lasts for a good week on my nails.  This is quite a feat as my nails usually chip after Day 2.  I enjoy their unique shade selection, but Porter is a gorgeous popping blue.

Have you tried any of these products?  What are your favorite products from the month of January?

XO,

Mary Dee
