Happy Saturday, all! I hope you’re enjoying your weekend so far 😊 Today we will be going over the Product Empties from the month of January! Each of these products will be accompanied by a mini review, and recommendation on whether or not I would repurchase.
LA Girl Pro Concealer in Medium Beige: This is a wonderful affordable concealer from the drugstore. It is creamy, blends beautifully, and provides medium buildable to full coverage. It comes in a wide range of shades and holds up in heat and humidity. Medium Beige is my perfect shade and I already have backups in my arsenal.
ELF Brow Pencil in Natural Brown: This eyebrow pencil was very pigmented, making it a breeze to quickly fill in brows, while the spoolie easily blended out the product. My only gripe with this product is that the tip dulls down, so it’s harder to draw precise brow hairs towards the end of its life cycle. This is such an affordable option from the drugstore though, that I would definitely recommend in a pinch.
Ofra Eyebrow Pencil in Universal: I received this in a Boxycharm, but was disappointed in its overall performance. The formula was a little too creamy, so I had a hard time sharpening it to a fine tip. It made it difficult to draw strokes with precision. I would not recommend or repurchase, so I would not repurchase.
Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in Brew: I love the shade selection of these Colourpop eyeliners, but they break so easily on me. They break when I’m using it on my eyes and sometimes it straight up falls out of the tube 😡 Although they swatch creamy on my hands initially, they drag on the waterline and make my eyes water. I was very disappointed in this and would not repurchase.
Algenist Complex Eye Renewal Balm: This eye cream was moisturizing and made for a smoothing base for eyeshadow, but I didn’t see any significant change to my eye area. I enjoyed the product, but for the price, I would not repurchase.
CosRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence: After finishing the entire bottle, I didn’t see a significant difference in the brightening of my dark spots, but I did see immediate improvement in my overall skin texture after about three days of use. The slightly sticky formula adds more moisture than my current Missha First Treatment Essence, which I appreciate in this drying weather. I highly recommend this Essence and will be repurchasing.
Feel Brilliant Bamboo Charcoal Facial Sheet Mask: I received this sheet mask in an Ipsy Glam Bag (blogpost here) and loved the cooling treatment. The sheet mask smelled refreshing, fitted nicely over the face, and tingled while it did its work. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend.
Tarte Frxxxtion Stick: I loved packing this stick cleanser on my travels because you don’t have to worry about the liquid limitations on airplanes. The cleanser had small granules throughout that gently exfoliated and didn’t dry out my skin. I would happily purchase a full sized in the future and recommend.
Nivea Essentially Enriched Body Lotion: This is my favorite everyday lotion because it has a light scent that doesn’t compete with your perfume. It absorbs quickly, hydrates, and leaves a glowy sheen on the skin from the almond oil. I already have a backup of this lotion and would highly recommend.
Pacifica Hawaiian Ruby Guava Body Butter: This Guava scent smelled so yummy, like tropical fruit deliciousness 😍 The formula was lightweight and absorbed quickly. I would repurchase for the scent alone.
The Body Shop Sweet Lemon Body Butter: The formula of The Body Shop’s Body Butters are thick, but melts quickly into the skin. Sweet Lemon is not too citrusy as it’s toned down by warm vanilla. I enjoyed this scent, but it wasn’t my favorite out of all the ones I’ve tried.
Dove Cleartone Skin Renew Deodorant: I haven’t seen a huge difference in my skin tone restoration, but I also don’t feel like it has gotten any darker over time 🤷 Dove’s deodorants have never irritated my skin and they do the job so I would repurchase.
Have you tried any of these products? What are your January Empties? I would love to hear about your product recommendations so please leave a comment below 🙂
