Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream Korean Skincare Review

Over the past month, likely due to stress, my skin has been breaking out more so than it has in years. I was desperate to find some relief for this sudden bout of acne on my otherwise clear skin. When Beauty Within, one of my favorite YouTube skincare channels, touted the Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream, as a holy grail product for acne prone skin, naturally, I had to put it to the test. After more than a month of daily use, I thought I’d share with you my final thoughts.

This spot cream combines Centella and Zinc to soothe sensitive skin. The thick cream formula is generously applied over concern areas to soothe irritated skin (amazon.com). Buy here.A little bit of this blemish cream goes a long way. Even though this small jar contains only 1.01 oz, I’ve barely put a dent in it, as it is only used as a spot treatment. It also has a very slight herbal scent, which I personally enjoy. This cream has a whipped consistency, which spreads out quickly and absorbs quickly.I absolutely adore the Cosrx Snail Mucin 96 Power Essence (buy here), so I was eager to try another product from the brand. To be honest, I kindof expected this cream to cure all my acne problems overnight. Unrealistic, I know.

This doesn’t sting like some acne spot treatments tend to do and moisturizes the area, instead of making the blemish dry or flaky and thereby more noticeable. This cream does not eliminate my breakouts overnight, though it does minimize the inflammation, and aids in preventing future ones. I still had some hormonal breakouts the following month, but they were significantly less severe than without the incorporation of this cream.I would recommend this product as a post blemish treatment. The gentle formula is fantastic for calming inflamed or irritated skin, allowing the acne to heal on its own. Combined with the rest of my brightening skincare routine, I do believe this cream aids in reducing the dark spots and hyperpigmentation left behind after the acne has healed. Buy here.
